Organic Foods and Obesity

organic-globeI have been accidentally doing research on Organic Food and Obesity for the last 6 years.  Yep, being a diet coach, namely the HCG Diet Shots, we require that our patients eat mainly Organic Foods.  I have spoken with thousands of dieters and have a lot of experience with people that eat preservative, MSG laden, pesticide filled foods.  The Organic group routinely succeed while the group that eats the ‘non-organic’ food have a larger “fail” rate.  I have been looking for the reason why for quite a while.

I am not a scientist or a Doctor so I will quote studies and give my opinion, OK?

Think about this:  When one burns a lot of fat (and this routinely happens on the HCG Diet Injections) one almost always release toxins into their bloodstream.  This can cause temporary discomfort but this is the subject of another article.

So, if there are toxins in the fat, here is my supposition.

  Toxins cause fat.  This would be preservatives, MSG, pesticides, all toxins.  You eat the toxic food, your body cannot readily protect itself from it, it encapsulates it with fat to protect you from it and it is safely stored away.  Not a very good scenario for someone that wants to stay thin.  This theory does make sense as we know that toxins do come out in the fat when burned.  I can also attest that the more toxins that people eat, the fatter they get and the harder it is to stay thin and to not gain weight.  I’ve heard the story a thousand times.  Again, I have no Scientific Evidence of this, just my experience.

Basically, these toxins, namely pesticides have a hand in a whole range of problems that cause obesity in children and adults. It also points out a whole host of benefits of eating Organic food that can keep one thin through childhood and adulthood.

Organic food is real, whole foods that deliver nutritious, wonderful food into our body making us feel energetic and alive.  And it tastes better then toxic food!

Keep this all in mind as you choose your next meal.  Knowledge is power.  Just because it is ‘accepted’ to eat fast food and preservatives and other toxins doesn’t mean that it is good for you.  The obesity stats are staggering, don’t become a statistic.

Also, Organic foods are more filling.  Most people find that it fills them up faster as your body gets real nutrition rather than empty calories of processed ‘food’ mixed with toxins.  You will eat less and your food bill, even though organic costs more, will go DOWN!  Think about it, most people eat such high quantities of food like we run a marathon every day.  Our body does not require this much fuel!  Give it real food with real nutrition and you will not overeat!
